A very chilly day climbing at Millstone!

Just a quick entry today as I am a bit tired after a busy weekend. Finally, the snow has melted just enough to get out and about!

Saturday I headed up to the yard to ride a very fresh Ace. Having had a bit off time off with the snow, he was full of beans – despite some rather large leaps and spins I managed to stay on!

On Sunday Tom and I headed to Millstone Edge as it was a beautiful sunny day. It was so good to be back outside – be that in a tonne of layers to stay warm enough! I do enjoy sessions at the indoor walls and find it improves my technique. However, nothing beats getting back to real rock!

We picked out some of the drier routes including Embankment 2 and Lyons Corner House – two routes I was keen to try. Unfortunately, we were only able to get in about three climbs before, out of the blue, (literally!) the weather came in, and we went from sunshine to sleet/hail in a matter of minutes. At this point, it was decided hot chocolate and cake were definitely a good plan!
